Grief and Loss
June 5 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Grief and Loss Specialist Louise Strasenburgh will share how she turned her personal experience into an effective means of recovery. This event will be helpful for those coping with personal loss, or anyone willing to journey with another thru their experience of grief and loss.
From Ms. Strasenburgh’s Website:
“When my youngest child and my mother died within five weeks of each other, the landscape of my life was forever altered. Five years later, despite the comfort of family and friends as well as a support group of bereaved parents, I was feeling ‘stuck’ in my grief and not at peace with my losses. I came across the Grief Recovery Handbook in my local library and it changed my outlook and my understanding of grief and loss as a whole. Most of all, it gave me hope. All that I had been missing was some education. I had been taught ‘how to acquire’ – but I hadn’t been taught ‘how to lose’. As a Certified Grief Specialist, I look forward to sharing that knowledge with as many of you as possible.”
